We will soon be celebrating Home Coming Service here at Pinehill Holiness Church on September 14th.

Jasper Carpenter will be our main speaker on this special day.

But this has me thinking about a much  greater day than just our regular September Homecoming.

We gather together singing and having dinner together.

One of our songs we often sing is  " When we all get to Heaven...What a day of Rejoicing that will be"

I'm thinking of a brighter day, a homecoming where the lamb is the light, where we will spend eternity without one minute of sorrow, pain or sickness, not even a head cold, no death or funerals. Where everybody will be happy over there  forevermore .

Friend if you are reading this and you are not saved, give your heart to Jesus RIGHT NOW ! and come go with us.

Jesus is surely coming.

The other day I was canning some tomatoes that I had left to ripen.

I picked up one tomato and I thought how perfect looking that it was. It was just the right color of red, no spots of places to be cut out. When I cored the tomato and cut it open it was "BLACK" inside. All of the seed area was black. It wasn't rotten, but everything had to be scraped out in order to be able to use it.

I got to thinking about it being like Christians. We may look perfect on the outside, but inside our hearts we have hidden sins that shouldn't be there.

Psalms 69:5 and 90:8 both tell us that our hidden sins are not hidden to God, because he knows what's there.

We need to do like I did with my tomato and clean out all the black inside so that we can be used by God.

I canned my tomato and got the use of it. Just like with the tomato, I want God to take out any hidden sins in my heart that may be in there. I want my heart to be perfect "Inside" just like I should be showing a Christian life on the "Outside".
